  • 1 organic apple, sliced
  • 2 Tbsps unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup organic brown sugar
  • 1 tsp apple pie spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Toasted walnuts or pecans
  • Sprinkle of apple pie spice
  • Crumble topping
  • Granola

Instructions

  • Combine oats and almond milk in a saucepan; bring to a boil, then simmer for 8-10 minutes.
  • Stir in sweetened condensed milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and apple pie spice; continue simmering for another minute.
  • In a skillet, melt butter and add brown sugar, apple pie spice; sauté apples until tender.
  • Assemble bowls with oatmeal and top with sautéed apples, nuts, and optional toppings.

Notes

For a vegan option, substitute sweetened condensed milk with coconut cream and butter with coconut oil.
Use certified gluten-free oats for a gluten-free version of this dish.
