Description

This Bacon Wrapped Shrimp dish offers a delightful mix of smoky bacon and tender shrimp, perfect for gatherings or as a quick snack. With simple ingredients and easy preparation, it’s sure to impress guests and satisfy your craving for something delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 lb sliced bacon (cut into thirds)
  • 4 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • â…“ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and prepare a baking tray with foil and cooking spray.
  • Mix melted butter, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  • Marinate the shrimp in the mixture for 15 minutes.
  • Wrap each shrimp in a piece of bacon, securing with a toothpick, and place on the tray.
  • Sprinkle half the brown sugar over the wrapped shrimp.
  • Bake for 7-8 minutes until sizzling and bubbling.
  • Flip shrimp, sprinkle remaining brown sugar, and bake for another 7-8 minutes until bacon is crispy.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute bacon with turkey bacon, though the texture may differ.
Shrimp can be prepared in advance and refrigerated overnight before baking.
When reheating leftovers, a quick broil for 1-2 minutes can help restore crispiness.
