Description

Enjoy fudgy dark chocolate brownies that are incredibly rich and easy to whip up. With key ingredients like bittersweet chocolate and butter, these brownies are perfect for gatherings or a quick treat at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13×9 inch baking pan and set aside.
  • In a 3-quart saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Whisk in the sugar and vanilla to the cooled chocolate mixture. Add eggs, one at a time, and stir until combined and smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Mix the flour mixture with the chocolate mixture until thoroughly combined.
  • Spread the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-35 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting. Enjoy!

Notes

For an extra touch, add chocolate chips or nuts to the batter before baking.
Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
These brownies can be frozen for up to 3 months; just thaw and enjoy!
