- 1 egg room temperature
- 1 egg yolk room temperature

Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together for two minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk, whisking until the mixture is light and creamy.
- Incorporate the flour, baking soda, corn starch, and salt, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop out about 1/4 cup of the cookie dough, roll it into smooth balls, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill in the refrigerator for one hour or in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 325°F.
- Arrange the cookie dough balls about 3 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes. They are ready when the edges are golden while the center remains slightly underbaked.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for at least 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
