- 1 cup Butter
- 8 oz Dark Chocolate
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 4 large Eggs
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 cup Butter (for frosting)
- 1/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract (for frosting)
- 2–3 tbsp Milk/Cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and dark chocolate in a bowl over simmering water until glossy.
- Whisk in granulated sugar and add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold into the wet mixture.
- Pour batter into the pan, smoothing it out, and bake for 20-25 minutes until edges pull away.
- Cool brownies in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Whip softened butter until creamy, then mix in powdered sugar and cocoa for frosting.
- Decorate cooled brownies using a piping bag to create Christmas trees with buttercream.
Notes
Allow brownies to cool completely before frosting for the best texture.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Freezing is an option, but texture may slightly change upon reheating.
