Description

Whip up this Creamy Alfredo Sauce using simple ingredients for an irresistible flavor. Ideal for a quick dinner or comfort food lovers, it’s sure to please!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • up to 1/4 cup hot milk (optional) or pasta water
  • 1 pkg fettuccine noodles – cooked to package directions
  • freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat and add the minced garlic. Let simmer for just a minute.
  • Pour in the heavy whipping cream and half and half, whisking until fully combined, then gently bring to a simmer.
  • Incorporate the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper into the mixture.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese and allow it to melt slowly while stirring continuously.
  • Once the cheese has melted and the sauce has reached desired thickness, whisk in small amounts of hot milk or pasta water as needed.
  • Combine the sauce with the cooked fettuccine noodles and garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Stir constantly to prevent the cheese from clumping in the sauce.
Adjust thickness by adding more hot milk or pasta water as needed.
Freshly grated Parmesan yields the best flavor and texture.
