Description

Crispy roasted parmesan cabbage steaks are a fantastic way to enjoy healthy greens packed with flavor. With a golden, cheesy crust and a touch of balsamic vinegar, these cabbage steaks make a tasty side or standalone dish that’s perfect for a quick dinner or a healthy meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 cabbage steaks
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups grated parmigiano reggiano cheese
  • 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Wash the cabbage and slice it in half vertically. Cut 'steaks' from one half, about 1 inch thick, ensuring they hold together at the stem.
  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, 1/3 cup of grated Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Brush both sides of the cabbage steaks with this mixture.
  • On the baking sheet, place piles of the remaining Parmesan cheese, one for each steak (about 1/3 cup for each). Place the cabbage steaks on top of each cheese pile.
  • Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is brown and crispy.
  • Before serving, drizzle the cabbage steaks with balsamic vinegar and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crunch, ensure the cheese is evenly spread over the steaks.
Adjust the seasonings according to your taste preferences.
