Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 oz frozen green beans
  • 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 6 oz can of French fried onions

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Mix frozen green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  • Incorporate half of the French fried onions into the mixture, then pour it into the baking dish.
  • Bake for 25 minutes until bubbly.
  • Top with remaining French fried onions and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can substitute fresh green beans for frozen, just slightly change cooking time.
For a healthier twist, use low-fat cream of mushroom soup.
Make ahead of time and refrigerate, adding the onion topping just before baking.
