- 1 ½ cups white granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 bag white chocolate melting chips
- ¾ cup Valentine’s nonpareil sprinkles
Instructions
- Combine sugar and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Prepare a work surface with sugar mixture for rolling puff pastry.
- Roll out the dough ensuring it's coated with sugar.
- Score the dough lightly down the center.
- Fold the pastry over towards the center.
- Chill the folded dough for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet.
- Slice the chilled dough into ½-inch pieces and arrange on the sheet.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
- Melt white chocolate chips in intervals until smooth.
- Cool baked palmiers and dip in melted chocolate, decorating with sprinkles.
- Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
Notes
Store heart palmiers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
For longer storage, freeze in an airtight container for up to three months.
Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes to restore crispness.
