Ingredients
- Ground Beef (2 lbs)
- Onion (1, diced)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Crushed Tomatoes (28 oz can)
- Tomato Paste (2 tablespoons)
- Chili Powder (1 ½ tablespoons)
- Ground Cumin (1 teaspoon)
- Smoked Paprika (1 teaspoon)
- Dried Oregano (1 teaspoon)
- Garlic Powder (½ teaspoon)
- Cayenne Pepper (¼ teaspoon)
- White Sugar (1-2 teaspoons)
- Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Sauté ground beef, onion, and garlic in a Dutch oven until beef is browned.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, garlic powder, cayenne, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered for 20 minutes.
- Serve warm over hot dogs and add desired toppings.
