Description

This Brioche French Toast is an easy, flavorful dish, featuring rich buttery brioche soaked in a creamy custard. Perfect for brunch or a special occasion!

Ingredients

  • Brioche Bread
  • Eggs
  • Whole Milk
  • Maple Syrup/Brown Sugar/Granulated Sugar
  • Pure Vanilla Extract
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Toppings (Optional)

Instructions

  • Slice the brioche into 1-inch thick slices.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs until frothy, then add milk, sweetener, vanilla, and cinnamon; mix well.
  • Dip each slice of brioche in the custard for 5-10 seconds per side.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat, then add soaked brioche slices without crowding.
  • Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Keep finished slices warm in a 200°F oven until serving.
  • Serve with maple syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, and fresh berries.

Notes

Choose slightly stale brioche for better absorption.
Consider preparing the custard mixture the night before for convenience.
Adjust cinnamon to your preferring flavor intensity.
