- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- Two 10-ounce bags mini marshmallows
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 9 cups crispy rice cereal
Instructions
- Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a large pot over medium heat until bubbly.
- Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and combined.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Fold in the crispy rice cereal until fully coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Transfer to the lined pan and gently spread it out without packing it too tightly.
- Allow the treats to set at room temperature for at least 1 hour, then cut into squares.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the marshmallows to keep treats chewy.
For easy cleanup, use a silicone spatula when mixing and pressing the mixture into the pan.
