Description

These sautéed carrots are a vibrant and tasty side dish featuring sweet flavors and tender textures. With simple ingredients, you can whip them up in under 30 minutes for a healthy, delicious addition to any meal.


Ingredients

  • Carrots (1 1/2 lbs)
  • Water (1 1/2 cups)
  • Butter (1/4 cup)
  • Salt (3/4 teaspoon)
  • Black Pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Garlic (1 teaspoon minced)
  • Fresh Herbs (1 tablespoon, such as parsley, dill, or chives)

Instructions

  • Peel and cut the carrots into ½ inch thick slices.
  • Boil 1 1/2 cups of water in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add sliced carrots and ¾ teaspoon of salt, simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly tender.
  • Drain the carrots and lay them on a paper towel to dry.
  • Melt ¼ cup of butter in the same skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the dried carrots to the melted butter, sprinkle with black pepper and garlic, and sauté for 5-8 minutes until golden and tender.
  • Stir in fresh herbs just before serving and enjoy warm.
