Description

These Valentine Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts offer irresistible flavor with a simple prep, blending crispy bacon and sweet water chestnuts—perfect for festive gatherings!


Ingredients

  • 1 can whole water chestnuts (about 8 oz), drained
  • 1 package center-cut bacon (about 12 oz)
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Toothpicks

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Drain water chestnuts and pat dry.
  • Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each water chestnut, securing with a toothpick.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick spray.
  • Place wrapped chestnuts on the sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes until bacon is golden.
  • Combine ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
  • Remove chestnuts from oven and spoon sauce over them.
  • Return to oven and bake for an additional 25 minutes until caramelized and bubbly.
