Description

This Valentine Peppermint Bark features a delightful blend of white and semi-sweet chocolate, enhanced with peppermint and topped with crushed candy canes, making it an ideal treat for celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 12 ounces white chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil or coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 23 regular-sized candy canes (roughly 24–36g total), crushed

Instructions

  • Prepare the pan by lining it with parchment paper or foil.
  • Melt 6 ounces of white chocolate with 1/2 teaspoon of oil, add 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract, and pour into the pan; chill for 10-15 minutes.
  • Melt semi-sweet chocolate with 1/2 teaspoon of oil, add remaining peppermint extract, and pour over the set white chocolate; chill for another 10-15 minutes.
  • Melt the remaining white chocolate, pour over the semi-sweet layer, and sprinkle crushed candy canes on top.
  • Chill until firm (about 1 hour), then cut or break into pieces.
