Description

  • 16 ounces cavatappi pasta
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 cups white cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup Ritz crackers (crushed, about 20 crackers)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Cook cavatappi pasta in salted water until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour. Gradually add half and half and evaporated milk, stirring until thickened.
  • Stir in garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then fold in shredded white cheddar until melted and creamy.
